Hilot is a spiritual and cosmological practice; it is an ancient healing art rooted in animistic and shamanic traditions of early Filipino societies. 

 

Hilot is not merely about physical relief; it is about restoring harmony within the person and their environment.​ The healing involves prayers, incantations, spiritual rituals, herbal remedies and bodywork.

Lorilyn Caballeros also called Dayang Tarung Dangal (blessed with the virtues of honor and justice) is trained and ordained by Rev. Apu Adman in Hilot Academy of Binabaylan. She is also taught by Rev. Lakan Danny Morales and Kumu Darcie Pulawan-Morales in Bahay Hilom located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
